Actress and women's rights campaigner Sheila Hancock tells the extraordinary story of the Suffragettes and their battle to win votes for women, through their relatives, historians and the treasure trove of photos and memorabilia from the Museum of London.
This is the first TV programme dedicated to the Suffragettes in 35 years. The press launch took place at the Museum of London on 19 November 2010. Speakers were UK Shadow Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper, and Head of Equality and Employment Rights at the TUC, Sarah Veale.
